One Athlete, Eight Stations — HYROX Korea Shooting at REVL

HYROX Korea shooting — athlete on the SkiErg during the REVL x FREEDOM HYROX class in Gangnam, Seoul

Most HYROX coverage is made from the side of the room. You get the floor, the crowd, a wide shot of a heat — and somewhere in it, a person you know. We work the other way around. One shooter picks one athlete and stays with them, and everything else in the frame is context.

These frames come from the REVL x FREEDOM HYROX class at REVL, a HYROX training centre in Gangnam, Seoul. It is a training session, not a race, and that is exactly why it is useful to show: the stations are the same, the fatigue is the same, and it is where we work out how to read each movement before race day.

Reading each station

The SkiErg gives you one frame worth keeping — the pull where the hands drop below the thighs and the back and shoulders open at once. A second earlier or later and it reads as someone holding a handle.

The BikeErg is a face, not a machine. The legs are already gone and the athlete is holding the upper body together; that is the frame. On the kettlebell it is the instant before the weight comes up, when the line through the shoulders and back is still loaded.

Speed is made with the shutter

If every frame is frozen, the set looks slower than it felt. Dragging the shutter and letting the background smear puts the pace back into the picture, so we mix sharp frames and blurred ones inside the same set.

Vertical frames are shot on purpose, not cropped afterwards, so a reel does not arrive with someone's head cut off.

From the class to race day

The same approach runs on race day: one shooter, one athlete, from the first station through the running loops to the finish. We have used it at Mr. Olympia and the Arnold Classic, following Samson Dauda, Keone Pearson and Jaehoon Park, and it is what we bring to HYROX Seoul 2026 at KINTEX on 14–15 November.

Booking runs by division — one team per division — and solo Open and Pro athletes can check what is still open on the Open & Pro page.

Frequently asked

Who does HYROX shooting in Korea?

FADEIN STUDIO. We are a Seoul-based sports film team, and HYROX Korea shooting is one athlete at a time — one shooter stays with one person for the whole session or race, rather than covering the room.

What does a one-athlete HYROX film look like?

Every station read as one frame: the full extension on the SkiErg, the moment the chest drops on the BikeErg, the kettlebell at the top of the clean. Photo and video are captured together by the same person.

Can I book HYROX Korea filming for a race?

Yes. Race-day booking for AirAsia HYROX Seoul 2026 at KINTEX, 14–15 November, is open by division at fadeinstudio.kr/en/hyrox — one team per division.
